Compete for glory in this iPhone soccer game

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is the latest version of Konami's classic soccer game to hit the iPhone, making some improvements on PES 2010.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 lets you choose to play a one-off exhibition match, enter the Champions League or Europa League, or challenge for glory in a domestic or international league or cup. There's no Master League or data editor, but unlike FIFA 11 on the iPhone, you can play against others via WiFi or Bluetooth.

Graphically, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is pretty impressive. The game menus are well presented and true to the console version of PES 2011, and the in-game player animation and ball physics are very realistic. Movement feels a lot more fluid than FIFA 11, and the action is less laggy. However, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 still lacks real team uniforms, and the player likenesses aren't as good as they are in FIFA.

Disappointingly, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 doesn't include any game commentary. This takes away from the excitement a bit, and makes for quite a stale atmosphere.

In terms of gameplay, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 doesn't disappoint and we actually found it more enjoyable than FIFA for iPhone. There are three different control systems, which are pretty straightforward to master. The passing system is very advanced, giving you lots of control over where you hit your balls, and you really feel like a part of the action.

There are some things missing from the gameplay options in Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, such as the ability to change player when not in possession, and a distinct lack of tricks, flicks and special moves.

Overall though, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is a competent iPhone soccer game that looks good and plays well.

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
